Every other week, we share quick bites of Amazon seller news, tips, and other goodies. Here is a quick roundup of seller snacks to munch on:
Amazon’s New ‘Low-Cost Store’
Amazon has already outlined the requirements for its latest initiative, the Low-Cost Store, which will sell unbranded, low-priced items from its warehouses in China directly to shoppers in the US.

Here are some of the most important details of Amazon’s Low-Cost Store:
- Amazon’s Low-Cost Store will be selling unbranded products directly from fulfillment centers in Dongguan, Guangdong province, China, focusing on lightweight and small items (under 1 lb and specific dimensions) with strict price caps per category. For now, the store will be operating on an invite-only basis for sellers.
- Price caps will be implemented for products (for example $10 for necklaces and $14 for shorts), and listings that go beyond these prices will be flagged and deactivated. Fulfillment fees start at $0.50 for very light items, with fees increasing based on weight. Sellers will also have to pay for storage fees.
- Orders will be shipped to customers in the US within a 9-11 day timeframe via air freight, avoiding tariffs due to the minimum threshold. Most low-cost items will not be eligible for returns.

“I can’t put into words how happy I am with your list. I was so pleased with your list last night that I got carried away and spent 1500$ and did an all nighter. Others have lists that I’ve purchased but it is no where near the quality that I saw last night. Others just throw junk in their lists… The detail, and the effort jumps through screen! Thank you to you and your entire team.” – MM
Redemption for Deactivated Accounts? 400 Sue…
Ecom Authority LLC, a Miami-based ecommerce company managing over 1,100 Amazon storefronts, has taken a bold step forward for the seller community by filing a federal lawsuit that could revolutionize how Amazon handles account management. The case, which involves 400 deactivated accounts, represents a watershed moment that could finally bring much-needed transparency and fairness to Amazon’s seller verification process.
While Amazon’s strict compliance measures aim to protect consumers and maintain marketplace integrity, sellers have long sought clearer communication and a more robust appeals system. This landmark case could be the catalyst for positive change that the seller community has been waiting for, potentially establishing better protocols for account review, clearer communication channels, and a more streamlined appeals process.
The timing couldn’t be better, as Congress has also shown interest in protecting seller rights, with Rep. Chris Smith advocating for reforms that would give sellers more clarity and recourse. A favorable ruling could usher in a new era of seller-friendly policies, making Amazon an even more attractive platform for serious entrepreneurs who maintain high compliance standards.
West Coast Jam
Nope, not this West Coast jam…
Amazon’s West Coast facilities are currently jammed up, as high demand has caused the retail titan’s fulfillment centers in the area to experience tight capacity, leading to longer receiving times for shipments to some of its West Coast inbound locations from sellers who use its FBA service.
According to Jon Elder, CEO of Amazon seller consultancy firm Black Label Advisor, the congestion originates from the inefficiencies in Amazon’s cross-dock network, where the distribution from regional and national cross-docks to fulfillment centers has been severely delayed, possibly adding weeks to standard inbound times.
In an announcement, Amazon reassures that it is monitoring the situation and promises to do all that it can to ensure that sellers’ inventory are properly placed before their deals start. As of writing, Amazon has started implementing measures to ease capacity constraints.
