Overcoming Section 3 Violation Notices
Section 3 Violation notices have been going around like the flu, and understandably, they have caused a wave of fear among sellers.
However, several Amazon sellers on X have posted about being able to easily overcome this challenge.
The vision of Amazon is to reduce bad actors who sell fake and counterfeit goods in the marketplace or use their accounts for any type of illegal activity. If you are not doing this, you should be able to dispute your case and find resolve.
If you receive a Section 3 violation notice, be prepared to submit the following information to Amazon:
- Supplier name, address, phone and email
- Order confirmation from the supplier
- Proof of payment for order
- Shipping confirmation, tracking information, and delivery notification
- Prep center proof of receipt for ordered products (if using a prep center)
- Photos of units ordered
- Proof of shipment to Amazon for said units
Spare no detail, provide as much information as you can to prove that you are selling authentic, legitimately sourced products.
To those who have beaten Section 3 notices, did we leave anything out? Let us know!

Amazon DOES Listen to Sellers
When you saw the headline:
You’ve probably seen the daily seller polls in Seller Central and thought “as if Amazon actually listens…”
Well, turns out, they are trying.
Recently, Corliss Collier, Senior Leader of Seller Insights and Research, and her team held a chat session on the Amazon Discussion boards and discussed the polls and how Amazon uses the results.
The most exciting revelation: Collier says that Amazon is currently recruiting sellers to participate in a Voice of the Seller panel.
Hopefully, ongoing collaborations between Collier’s team and sellers will lead to policy changes that can benefit both parties.

Important Amazon Seller Updates
- Low Stock Inventory Fee – the low stock inventory fee kicks in on April 1, and applies to standard-sized products with consistently low inventory relative to customer demand. In this thread on X, Amazon seller @tonafba does a great job of breaking this new fee down and explaining how to avoid it.
According to Dharmesh Mehta, VP at Amazon, the FBA Low Inventory Fees charged to sellers from April 1 to 30 will be credited back to the sellers at the end of the month to help sellers learn how to manage this new fee in real-time. How cute of them.
- Returns Processing Fee – starting on June 1, Amazon will start charging a returns processing fee on an item that has a higher return rate than the average for the category. Amazon will be releasing the benchmarks on May 1, and you can see the rate card for the returns processing fee here.
- Deadline to Submit Amazon Prime Day Deals – eligible sellers who want to participate in Prime Day have until May 17 to submit recommended deals for a chance to be selected. Amazon is now accepting submissions.
- New Auto-Cancellation Feature on Capacity Manager – Capacity Manager has a new auto-cancellation feature that will limit your capacity for FBA automatically if you aren’t using the storage space. If you don’t want to lose space automatically, make sure you uncheck this feature.
