Amazon Launching 1-Hour Drone Delivery for Prime Customers
Well…it’s happening. Lockeford, CA will be the first test city for Amazon Prime Air, followed by College Station, TX.
As this service expands throughout the years, e-commerce through the Amazon marketplace will exponentially explode in growth.
Think about the velocity of moving inventory when people can get things within one hour of ordering. Try not to think about the drones reprogramming themselves and taking over the world. ????

If you haven’t heard, there is a dreaded Q4 fulfillment fee increase this year which will take place between October 15th and January 14th. This increase is in addition to the 5.2% uptick in FBA fees last January, and the 5% fuel and inflation surcharge last April.

Amazon Experimenting UPS as Option for Seller-Fulfilled Returns (FBM Only)
From September 5 to October 2, buyers will have the option to select USPS or UPS when they submit their seller-fulfilled returns.
In the announcement, Amazon states “This can impact the label cost for sellers and you can claim a refund for the difference between the UPS and USPS shipping costs.”
Sellers are in an uproar over the fear of increased return fees and Amazon’s suggestion of a manual refund claim for the difference in price.
Is it wishful thinking to assume Amazon’s world-class algorithms cannot automatically track and refund sellers for the difference? Hmm…
Ban Lifted on Some Dietary Supplements
Amazon recently lifted its restriction on products that contain N-acetyl-L-cysteine like eye-health supplements and allergy supplements. Approved sellers may now list products containing this ingredient as long as the listings are in full compliance with all applicable Amazon policies for the sale of dietary supplements.
The profit potential of supplements is always enticing. If you haven’t been approved to sell in this category, check out this helpful guide.
